The packaging is one of the reasons I got this highlighter. It's pink and looks like a ring box with the right kind of quote on the inside. The quote says: "It's your time to shine!"
It does look bigger in the pictures than it is in real life. I expected a HUGE highlighter and it was average sized, which was fine.
I have mixed feeling about the highlighter itself. For starters the highlighter on
looks like a unicorn puked in a container. It's full of bright colour with a lot of shine to it. The picture above is a bit dark but that was the only way I could capture any colour because otherwise it would have looked white. So no swirling pink, blue and gold together to create my own unique highlighter for me. I also don't believe the claim that it's hand poured because of the lack of colours. Also with the amount of colours in the highlighter it would be really hard not to create two similar highlighters.
Besides all this I do like the highlighter. It's bright and shiny and with the right kind of brush it's perfect. I don't feel like this highlighter is buildable by itself, it is when you top it of with other highlighters. Which to me is fine because I don't like buildable highlighters.
The highlighter itself stays on point and bright all day. Only after a 6 hour wear it starts to wear off a bit but that's normal, if you ask me.
I did find it hard to swatch the highlighter with my finger because it wasn't that pigmented but with a brush it's really pigmented. I heard that people also like to use the highlighter wet but I have never tried this. All my photo's are taken with the highlighter dry on only bare skin or foundation and nothing more.
Would I repurchase this highlighter for €37.99? I wanted to say definitely not because it's a LOT of money to me but the packaging is so CUTE! And I'm always on a hunt for a new highlighter. So my answer would be I don't need two of them but if I knew all of this before buying the product I would have gone out on a hunt to find it on sale.
(I did this with the Kat von D Highlighters and it was definitely worth it.)
