Review: Bioré Deep cleansing charcoal pore strips.

the past few weeks I have been testing the 'Bioré Deep cleansing charcoal pore strips'. So I decided to start this week of with a clean nose and a review.
I have done a 'five different brands of pore strips' review in my early blogger years. And I really liked comparing the different effects from different brands and price categories. So when this new brand with nose pore strips popped up I decided to give them a try and review them on my blog, as little extension from my earlier reviews.
Bioré about the strips:
'DEEP CLEANSING CHARCOAL PORE STRIPS work like a magnet, instantly locking onto and drawing out deep-down dirt & oil that can cause blackheads. Infused with natural charcoal, these innovative pore strips draw out excess oil for the deepest clean. In just 10 minutes, you'll remove weeks' worth of build-up and see 3x less oil. The instructions are simple: wash your face before using this strip. Apply some water and put the strip on.
I prefer to use hot water before applying a nose strip because the hot water opens op the pores but for this review I decided to follow the instructions.
Things I noticed apply the pore strip:
The strip is made of some weird soft material on the outside, some velvet-y sort of soft. It applies easy but it doesn't really feels like its sticking to the whole nose. Somehow the strip doesn't stick to the tip of the nose. Which is annoying because there is a lot of dirt on the tip of my nose. The strips turns stiff very quickly, which I think is a good thing.
I decided to take some close up pictures of my nose pores before and after I used the Bioré pore strips to see if it's really as deep cleansing as they claim. I do have to mention that a lot of the glue didn't come off with the pore strip when removing the strip. So I had to clean my nose with Tea tree before taking the after shot. This means that I don't know how much of the cleansing came from the strip.
On the close up of the pore strip photo you can see a lot of dirt. I'm not sure if it's more than normal or it's because of the contrast between the white dirt and the black background. This is why I decided to do the gross close ups of my nose. Looking at those pictures you can tell that most of the pores that were stuffed before are now empty.
When comparing these pore strips to previews pore strips I used I would say that they're average. They do the job okay but there are pore strips that are way better.
When looking at the claims that Bioré says the pore strips are suppose to do I would say it's somewhat accurate. The pore strips does work instantly, I don't have an oily nose so I don't if it removes the oil that cause black heads & it doesn't infuse anything because all that stays behind is the glue and blackness from the strips.
Conclusion: I think these pore strips are the pore strips to start with when you're new with these kind of things. They're around €7 which isn't cheap but also isn't that expensive. They do a decent job and give okay results. For me, personally, I don't think I will buy them again because I have used better pore strips than these. However, I'm going to give all the other pore strips in Bioré collection a try because I think they might have one in their collection that more suitable for me.
