Review: the lash curler – volume and curl mascara by Essence

today I'm going to review the Lash curler volume and curl mascara by Essence. I have been testing this mascara for over a month now & I thought it would be time to share my opinion about this product.
Essence about this product:
" crazy curl! the lash curler is a new mascara innovation and has a manually rotating brush. unique on the market, the brush can be twisted manually as needed - sometimes more and sometimes less – while you apply your mascara to create extraordinary curl and volume. since the curl mascara is twisted by hand, it doesn’t require batteries. an absolute eye-catcher that’s fun, too! opthalmologically tested."
The advice they give:
"mascara for maximum volume and perfectly curved lashes: twist the rotating part of the cap while applying the mascara on your lashes."
I wanted to try this mascara of obvious reasons, the whole twist and volume curler effect. It's a nice idea but it doesn't work at all. The only thing it does is making it harder to open your mascara. I have tried to twist it in different ways on my lashes. It's not easy but it's possible. However it has no effect what so ever on my curl or volume of the lashes.
The mascara itself did become part of my favourites collection, because it's not a terrible mascara it does the job. It gives my lashes volume && it's blacker than black.
I would buy it if you want a black mascara that does the job. I wouldn't buy it if you want something special or with a wow factor. It's just a regular mascara to me.
