Review: Makeup Revolution Liquid highlighter in Unicorn Eleixir

Dear readers,

today I'm going to review the Makeup Revolution Liquid highlighter in the shade 'Unicorn Elixir'.

I got this highlighter when I visited London, it was one of the things I knew I was going to get. I had to have it after I saw the first preview photos of this highlighter on Instagram. Are you curious about this gorgeous product? Than keep on reading!

Makeup Revolution about this highlighter:
' A magical and beautiful reflective iridescent lilac liquid highlighter drops with a variety of uses! Our concentrated highly pigmented highlighter is a must have for all lovers of glow! Can be used alone as a liquid highlighter, Simply apply to the high points of the face and blend with a synthetic brush or sponge for dimension and glow.
Mix into your favourite foundation for a more dewey and illuminous finish. Mix into your body lotion and creams for a gorgeous all over glow, or use alone with your everyday skincare for a natural glow from within on even bare skin days.'

I absolutely love the few liquid highlighters I already own from this brand, so knew this one wouldn't disappoint me.
When I first swatch the highlighter I was a bit confused because it has a lot of glitter particles in it. I was afraid that when applied on top of foundation it would scrub away the makeup underneath. I do have to say I was at the same time very impressed by the pigmentation and the shine.

For the first time using the highlighter I decided to apply it with my finger in a tapping motion. This worked really well, it didn't ruin the makeup that was already there and it looked amazing. The highlighter blends really well even on top of powder foundation. (Side note: A lot of liquid makeup products don't work that well on top of powder, the combinations gives a cracking appearance. )

As you can tell from the picture below the highlighter looks amazing and soooo BRIGHT. I also posted an another photo on Instagram in which my highlighter looks perfection.

The highlighter stays in place all day and night, it doesn't fade away or loses his brightness and shine.

What's your favourite liquid highlighter at the moment?
