LIp product Tuesday: NYX lipstick in Paris and Fig
Hello Sweethearts,
today I'm going to share my opinion on the NYX lipsticks in the colours Paris and Fig.
My opinion on the packaging:
I love that a lot of brands somehow show the colour of the lipstick in or on the packaging. This makes it easier to grab the right one.
I do think that it's odd that the packaging isn't completely the same, I love the packaging of the Paris lipstick more. ( Paris is on the left, Fig is on the right. )
NYX on the lipsticks:
" NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick is our classic lipstick for all occasions. The mineral-based emollient formula offers a beautiful velvet texture, saturated color and it resists wear and smudging. My opinion:
" The NYX lipstick is smooth and soft but a true lipstick, not a lipglossstick or a lipbutter. You can feel it on your lips, not in an uneasy way but still. They do smell a little but it's not annoying. The colours are gorgeous and really pigmented.
It may not be my go-to lipstick but it's a real asset to my collection."
The swatch on the left is Paris and the swatch on the right is Fig. The lips above are wearing Paris and the lips under need are wearing Fig.
In real life the lipstick Paris is more through wards a Barbie pink than on the picture. And Fig is more nude than on the picture. I had actually hoped that Fig would be a good dupe of the ELF Nicely Nude lipstick, since they're both mineral based lipsticks these could be the case but it's not. None the less I'm very happy with both lipsticks && I can't wait to one day try the NYX Black Label lipsticks or the Matte Lipsticks.
